The Nun that murdered because of love

Image
Marianna de Leyva y Marino                    What you are about to read will sound like a Shakespeare script where everything seems all and mighty between two lovers until tragedy strikes. This true crime story is nonetheless because of art and life will always mimic each other and this is not just the true story of love yet of the true tragedy that happened after.                                         In the year of 1557, Marianna de Leyva y Marino, came into existence. The Bird Hex

Image
Despite us talking about this episode in the future on the podcast, I still wanted to write about it because this case still scares South Dakota. This is known as the Bird Hex.           Jake Bird was born in an unknown location in Louisiana. At the age of 19, Bird was forced to leave home and did what any other homeless person would do. In order to keep warm, he would stay in box cars. He would work for sleep and meals.  For work, he was a manual laborer and a railroad dancer that laid and maintained tracks. A thing to note about how Bird got away with his crimes was his job required him to travel. Other than what he did as work, he is known for his label as a serial killer. Even though there is a complete timeline, we need to go back to October 30th, 1947 and the trial that brought the Bird Hex.          In not just my personal opinion, b...

First glance at Friday's episode

Image
I typically won't give out hints or sneak peaks at episodes because I may not have had the episode pre-recorded or something can shovel the whole plan and I forget. Fortunately, since I pretty much put in one month's worth of episodes in a week, I want to give people at least the episode's details and what should be expected.      This episode will be released at 11:00 AM CT on all platforms. It's about a half and hour long, maybe a little more. It takes place in Hawaii and a serial killer is on the loose murdering young women in popular tourist sites like beaches and beach bars, etc.      Nearly all victims were dumped in the same area (s) and disappeared before being found dead in the same manner. This case may or may not have been solved but you can find that out on Friday's episode, 'The Honolulu Strangler'.       Btw, every Sunday, we release a weekly episode as well. After Dark Quickbits is an episode where we talk ab...
